Let me explain the sceneraio again. Rihanna, you got your butt beat and then you come back to the arms of your abuser. Yet, this is normal behavior. Usually, domestic violence victims come back into the same abusive relationships. Maybe it is me, but I would have left his sorry ass. End of story.
I am not a TMZ journalist or selfish cameraman on the Hollywood plow. I am a blogger, an intellectual, and a woman. I can be a forgiving person and I do not know what inner demons Rihanna and Chris Brown are living with each and every week. We all do. But I am one step closer to becoming very very very angry. No man should not abuse any woman or any other human being for as long as he lives. Previously, I said I have whipped him good if I was in Rihanna's situation. I would. I am 110% sure. For me, I do not attack someone unless I am provoked and/or I have to act in self-defense. That is how I would react to a similar situation. But other people have other ways to deal with the pain and violence. So, to Rihanna, heal and become a stronger person from this moment of time. Chris Brown, I am no longer a fan.
Here is another round of My Top 4 Things at the Moment. Here we go:
1. Has anyone seen the controversial NY Post cartoon, depicting Obama's stimulus bill or Obama for that matter as a murdered monkey? Now, I am a sociology major and the first thing that crossed my mind was the apparent racist symbolism in the picture. Has anyone remember reading at college or high school about the long-held stereotype that black people are out-control, primitive monkeys? The "white" police killing a monkey? White police = dead black men? Is this a possible reminder for "certain" people to try to assasinate our first black president? Or is it just old good political satire? You make a decision.
2. I am applying to the Beckman Center for Internet and Society summer internship! I already have all my references, I only need to revise my resume and create a new cover letter. Wish me good luck!
3. HUGH JACKMAN IS HOSTING THE OSCARS THIS YEAR! I will stalk his sweet ass all night with my eyes. ^^
4. Is the Oscars this Sunday? I wonder who will win? I suppose Heath Ledger, but why? Will he win because of his "superb" acting talent in the summer blockbluster "The Dark Knight" or because he's dead? You decide. I personally think he did a decent job in the movie and that he should not get an Academy Award. Yet, Hollywood likes to be all melodramatic so I guess he will win.I might to a Oscar 2009 fashion critique thread. I am an entertainment guru so I might do it for all my viewers or the lack of them! :P

I'm wondering through my email account when suddenly three familiar words popped up in front of me in the header and body of the email: Internet, Society, and Harvard! WOOT! The Summer Internship at the Beckman Center of Internet and Society at Harvard Law School is recruiting summer college interns and I am soooooooooooo applying! I think this is my big break in online media and policy!!! Wish me luck, people!! Now back to homework :( jk. lol.

I do not know you personally, but I like your music. If it is true that you did physically attacked Rihanna, please seek counseling and possible jail time. I do not know about your past or family issues. I was just caught up in your squeaky clean persona and MJ-like dance moves for three years until last Sunday night. I did not see it coming. If it is not true then you are some serious work to do in order to win your fans back.

I personally do not like your music. You are a Beyonce wannabe, yet I love your hair do and false punk influence style. If you are a victim of assault or domestic violence, please seek emotional counseling. If I was in your situation, I would have WHIPPED HIS ASS!! I know women in this culture are conditioned to be around abusive men and stay in those abusive relationships, but come on!! Please leave him and move on.

1. Hopefully I will watch the SuperBowl tonight and I mean the SuperBowl, I mean the Half-Time Show and the awesome commercials.
2. This weekend, I have been researching about the Yahoo and Google corporate cultures as a part of my job research project. Reading former employees' and summer interns' blogs, Yahoo and Google official corporate blogs, and articles and message boards on Vault.com has been very useful, but I wish I can find more resources.
3. I am broke and I cannot wait any longer for my checks!
4. I am so excited that the campus website (The Smith Daily Jolt!) that I have helped monitor and administer the past 2 years will launch its new site this Wednesday. I cannot wait!
5. Can mainstream media leave Jessica Simpson alone? Yes, she has gained some weight, but who the fuck cares?! If she is considered fat, then I must be a brick house. lol.
