@iHeartChina- LadyMel, I know this is old news, but did you vote in the 2010 midterm elections and which party did you vote 4?

China, would you be pissed if I did not vote this year? Ya, I was filming an commercial for my new shoe line in Hong Kong that day. It was not worth the effort or time really. When I am confident about the economy, and the direction of this country, then I will.

@PrinceAndrew482 - Gerard Butler's birthday is today. U attending his many b-day parties?

I will be attending a couple tonight in LA. Gerard is a good friend of mine. We met months before his "Law Abriding Citizen" film came out. Just friends. Never dated him. Not his female toddy. But he is a nice piece of ass though. ;]

I honestly do not know. Mommy issues? Egotistical Douchebag Syndrome ? He is just a waste of time for me. Next.

Before I leave for the week, I want to thank Randomista  for presenting me with this:  the IDGAF Blog Award. I want everyone to check out here blog. She is amazing. IDGAF, if you don't know by now means, "I Don't Give a F$$$." And what the negativity around me at times, I don't give a F$$$$ about them. It's all about me. Picture of the Week personified. First and foremost, I want to thank Lady Gaga for sweeping the award shows with 8 awards including Video of the Year! I love the name of her next album, "Born This Way",  her outfits especially this late Alexander McQueen ensemble from his last collection and her ten second ballad of her "Born This Way" single. I want to know why MTV did not allow her to perform. I would trade this show for a two-hour Lady Gaga performance in a heartbeat. Usher and Florence and the Machines had the best performances of the night.

If I have not mentioned any one else, you either sucked and were extremely boring to watch. My worst critiques:

• I love Chelsea Handler but as a VMAs host, she does not work for me. There were few laughs coming my way and I think at the beginning of the show, she seemed very nervous. 
• Taylor Swift looked like a 30 year old woman with heavy makeup on stage. I wished Kanye West had interrupted her again. It would have been more entertaining. Was she playing the guitar?
• Rihanna looked like a ginger hot tranny mess with no singing talent. Eminem and Rihanna do not make a good music collaboration.
• Ciara gave a very random and weak thirty second performance. 
• Justin Bieber lip-synced.

I will not watch another VMAs unless it is held at NYC's Radio City Music Hall. As discussed with other fans via BlogTV, the best Video Music Awards, the most memorable VMAs moments, happened in the heart of the Big Apple.


I had high hopes for this year's ceremony, but it was as stale as bread. And it is disappointing because I can't trust MTV to provide me with the best music video experience anymore. If I had to rate this show, I would give it a 5/10 and that is because Lady Gaga was there. If she was nominated but did not show up, I would not have watched it. Way to go MTV.

What do you think about this VMAs? What could have been better about it?

Not the year of Beyonce (that was last year) or the year of Justin Bieber. If you do not know who Lady Gaga is right now, you must be living under a rock in the outskirts of outer space. She is everywhere. She is the most popular pop star and social media queen of our generation so far. When mankind invented the word "ubiquitous" for the English language, you can see her picture inside a Webster dictionary next to the word. Currently, she holds the title of Twitter Queen with over six million followers and counting, beating out the ubiquitous crowned Twitter prince, Justin Bieber. Sweet. 

Last night, like every Oscars night, was exceptionally long and boring. Seriously, I think the Academy needs better hosts because Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, although very talented actors and comedians, were not funny. I would have called Billie Crystal, Chris Rock or even Robin Williams to relive their hosting responsibilities. Nonetheless, it was a night made in American history! Lets see why:

1. Women Rule: The feminist in me is glowing! With all her hard work and tenacity, Kathryn Bigelow became the 1st female ever to win the Oscar for Best Director, beating her ex-husband and fellow Hollywood director James Cameron. Take that to Cameron, all the Avatar lovers, and every sexist movie critics out there who thought that a woman cannot direct an award-winning independent movie with substance. I also want to thank Sandra Bullock and Mo'Nique for conveying such memorable and poignant accepting speeches. Women have the confidence and determination to set their minds to anything. Fuck the haters. This was a ladies night and wow what a night!

2. Kanye West's Apprentice: Elinor Burkett will not be recognized as a journalist for her production work in the Oscar award-winning documentary, "Music of Prudence". She will be known for interrupting her colleague Roger Ross Williams during his Oscar acceptance speech. People have their own racist conspiracy theories and I do not care because I am a thinking-forward person and I try not to get these thoughts into my head.

For the love of human decency, she could have waited for him to finish his speech and then spoke to the audience! Adults these days have no respect for one another! Kanye West, if you are out, I think you have caused an epidemic and I hate you for it. Salon.com confirmed that there was a misunderstanding/dispute between Burkett and Williams before the Oscars. Yet, this was one of the most awful TV moments that I hope will never see again.

3. Walt Disney Is A Greedy Son of A Bitch: I was this close to not watching the Oscars this year because ABC had a programming dispute with my local cable provider, Cablevision over money. ABC aka Walt Disney wants more money per month from Cablevision subscribers. Cablevision was not having it, so Walt Disney Co. removed ABC from the Cablevision lineup and warned the removal of ESPN and other Disney channels if Cablevision did not pay the additional sum. This little dispute continued well into Oscar weekend. (ABC showcases the Oscars annually). Luckily, the dispute ended 20 minutes or so after the Oscars previewed or ABC would have lost millions in Oscar advertising.

So this is my message to Disney. Do not let the Academy add five   movies to the Best Picture Category to help increase ABC's lack of Oscars numbers, when on the other end, you almost risked 3.2 million Cablevision viewers from watching the show for more money. Greedy hypocrites.

Overall, it was a pretty entertaining and monumental night. Not only do we have the first female Oscar award winning Director, but Geoffrey Fletcher became the first "black" person to win the Adapted Screenplay Oscar for Precious. So congratulations to all Oscar winners! Until next year!

Over the course of this week, I thought about how I was going to write my Grammys preview because I could have gone down the obvious route and blogged who I think will win in each category, but there are over 105 categories so I would be wasting my time.  Plus, it will be hard to pick a winner for the major awards because they is stiff competition in each category. As a result, I have narrowed it down with my post about what I look forward to at this year's ceremony. Lets have a look shall we?

1. Taylor Swift is going to win the most awards. Period. It is sad, but true. I do not really like her music, but I hear she has had one of the best selling albums of last year. However, I do not want her to win the most awards just because Kanye West was a douche to her and that everyone including the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences that votes the Grammy winners felt sorry for her.

I want professional people within this advisory board to vote for the winners based on the number of record sales and number of times each artist was on the Billboard charts. Swift does not need any more "sympathy points" as Makael from YouTube's theSkorpionShow proclaimed. And trust me, if she wins all of her eight nominations, I will be pissed because there are more deserving artists such as the Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga who either outshine or rival her in fan popularity and music sales last year. We let her slide at the VMAs and the American Music Awards for some reason. But not at the Grammys.

2. This is also the late Michael Jackson's night. Although, he is not physical here with us, he will receive the Life Achievement Awards for his innovative contributions in popular music within the past thirty years. According to E! Online, Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, and a slew of other musical artists that have been profoundly influenced by the King of Pop will participate in the MJ tribute. I personally think this tribute will top the BET Awards, the AMA's, and possibly the VMA's MJ tributes.

Also, MJ's three children will all present a speech on behalf of their late father. I think with great tragedy and controversy comes great respect for the craft. Without MJ, we would not have Chris Brown or Usher. Ironically, this tribute has sparked controversy because Chris Brown and Omarion will not be a part of the Grammy tribute. Omarion is not a major music artist like Chris Brown, but it has been almost one year since the Rihanna/Chris Brown abuse scandal and some people within the music industry are still blaming Chris Brown for the incident. With all the bad things and rumors that MJ had to live through all his professional and private life, MJ would have allowed Chris Brown to participate in his tribute because MJ was all for peace and love in the world. Not that I would!

3. Lastly, I am very enthusiastic for the array of performances this year. Lady Gaga and Elton John will do the opening act. Lady Gaga has had a stellar year in music and I know that she will bring us the originality and star power that we need in live performances these days. As the Wall Street Journal's John Jurgenson proclaimed about the rising star's entrance to fame, "Gaga may not turn out to be yet another fleeting pop novelty, but many other industry veterans see her as the real deal, and her ambitions and skill at navigating the turbelent industry make her a durable star". I think she is the real deal and she will deliver! Other artists that will be performing tomorrow night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles are Jamie Foxx and T-Pain, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, Green Day, and Drake. I want these people to entertain me! Give me life or I will talk about you! You can find the complete list of Grammy performers and presenters here.

I am very excited about the Grammys this year because I believe this is going to be one of the most remarkable Grammy award ceremonies ever! You have the best musicians under one roof. I will be chatting on Twitter and BlogTV (with Kevin from TheSkorpionShow) tomorrow night as I watch each performance carefully and the winners get their deserved trophies. The Grammys will take place tomorrow night, January 31st at 8pm EST on CBS. Be there!

Every online website and cable news network from Time Magazine to CNBC has shared their own lists of  the best and worst celebrity scandals or ideas of the last decade. And now I am going to give you my rundown of the lessons that I have learned since the year 2000. I still cannot believe it has been ten years already since the start of the twenty-first century. I am getting old.

1. Don't Fuck With The Terrorists: I apologize for using the f word, but I had to. With 9/11, this recent attempted Christmas bombing of a commercial airplane heading to Detroit, and the Fort Hood massacre still lingers in the hearts and minds of the American public, I do not want to be in the way of their plans for mass destruction and terrorism. And I am not only talking about Islamic fundamentalists.

I am talking about the seemingly liberal media, government agencies, and other American institutions that continues to undermine the potential and progression of the American people. Not all media people are terrorists. I love NYMag.com, Huffington Post, and other online blogs and websites. But I know when to draw a line between the facts and sensationalism. So do not screw with the terrorists. Learn to overcome their campaigns of fear the best way you can. The politics of fear is the most destructive weapon of all. I've learned to not take every breaking news with a grain of salt. Take control your life or they will.

2. Douchebags Rule the World: If you have not read my wicked Halloween tale yet, I strongly recommend you read it. Douchebags rule the world basically. Jon Gosselin thinks he is a living, breathing male god who is now rumored to have lied about a home invasion only to get publicity. He is a douchebag because he has not grown up to support his eight children. A douchebag would not allow his children to be on television in the first place.

A doucebag could be the nice neighbor, your ex, your psychopathic brother or even you. Stars like Kanye West, Richard Heenes, the White House Crashers, Dave Letterman, Charlie Sheen, and Tiger Woods are just the high-profile ones. The list goes on and on. You can take a douche bag out of Hollywood but you cannot take Hollywood out of the douche bag. The last of the most intelligent people on Earth should reclaim the planet from these people or by December 21, 2012, the world might come to an end. So when you write your New Years Resolutions people, please promise me to either convert the douche bags in your life to reasonable human beings or ignore them altogether.

3. Technology Has Redeemed Itself from the Dark Ages: With the highly-anticipated Google Nexus and the Apple Tablet coming out next year, I am glad that I do not have to use floppy disks and CDs anymore. I am glad that 2010 will bring us closer to the science fiction days of our childhood pasts. I am glad that we are a step closer to artificial intelligence and Star Wars technology. Did anyone notice that in one of my Tech Diva 2010 Prediction post, I predicted that Apple will come up with a new invention before I even knew that Apple was going to premiere the "Apple Tablet" sometime next month to the public. Haha, I'm good. So, Facebook and YouTube are in. Goodbye 20th century garbage. 21st century technology is our future.

4.  Celebrity Deaths Are Overrated: This decade will forever be known as the decade of the Greats. Michael Jackson, Brittany Murphy, Heath Ledger and Anna Nicole Smith all die due to reported drug overdoses and/or long histories of drug addiction. I still remember the day when I heard about MJ's untimely death. I just did not believe it because it's Michael Jackson we are talking about. The Michael Jackson. But there should be a line between at least a few days news coverage to about a year's worth of  untrue stories, fabricated truths, and millions of dollars of unnecessary publicity. Talk about the missing children of this world. I do not want to watch six months worth of the reasons why or maybe why Anne Nicole Smith died. There are other important things that matter to me. End of story.

So before you browse a newspaper or a popular search engine for information, activate your common sense and take yourself on a wild goose chase.

I was waiting for Kanye West's stupid butt to interrupt Taylor Swift's monologue during her SNL debut performance this past Saturday. But, he did not make it. Kanye West, I am going to let you finish your career, but Taylor Swift had the best monologue of all time! Hehe ^.^. I may not like her brand of music, but the monologue is very catchy. I wish it was on Itunes.

I am back from a well-deserved vacation playing WOW (its all over for now) and job hunting online (wait I still am ><). God, four months has passed. However, I will make the commitment to writing a blog or two everyday from now on since I'm at home and unemployed at the moment.
